Suet Cakes for Birds

We just bought a suet cake holder, but all of our local stores only carry suet cake made with rendered beef fat or held together with gelatin. I've found a recipe online for making a vegan cake, but if anyone either has a recipe they've used and liked or can buy vegan cakes near them, I would appreciate knowing.
