An Introduction, and Honey

Hello, everyone.
I know this is my first post - so a short introduction is in order: I've been vegan for a few years now, for reasons that have grown out of concerns for animal rights (including human animals) and the environment, and grown to include health. I love it!
Now a question: I notice that one of the recipes already posted includes honey.
I accept that some people choose to include honey in their diets.
However, there are some great vegan alternatives to honey, depending where you live, including vegan maple syrup, agave nectar, barley or rice malt syrup, liquid fruit sugar etc.
Could this be added to the group information page?
Honey, propolis, royal jelly, beeswax, and shellac etc., are all taken from animals, and are therefore not suitable for those following vegan lifestyles.
People following vegan lifestyles: "seek to exclude, as far as is possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of animals for food, clothing or any other purpose." (from The Vegan Society web site: http://www.vegansociety.com/about_us/ ).
"Founded in 1944, The Vegan Society provides advice on ways of living free of animal products for the benefit of people, animals and the planet." (The term 'vegan' was coined by Vegan Society co-founder Donald Watson in November of that year - see http://www.vegansociety.com/society/)
Here is some information about how bees are harmed during commercial farming for honey: http://www.vegansociety.com/animals/exploitation/bees.php
